Privacy policy

Lid & Liner is a website published by Magoo Media Group. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and what happens to it. You can contact us about anything in it at contact@lidandliner.com.

If you use the contact form: your name, email address, an optional subject line, and your message. That is sent to us by email so we can reply. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone other than the email provider that delivers the message.

If you just read the site: standard analytics data via Google Analytics 4 — pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is aggregate and we use it to work out which pages are useful.

What we do not collect: we have no accounts, no logins and no user profiles. There is no newsletter signup, no comment system, and no payment processing on this site — we do not sell anything, so we never handle card details.

This site uses Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to distinguish one visitor from another and to measure how pages are used. Google processes that data on our behalf; their handling is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

We do not set advertising cookies of our own, and we do not run a display advertising network on this site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics entirely. Neither will stop the site working — nothing here depends on a cookie.

Product links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one you are redirected to the retailer, and the retailer records that the referral came from us so a commission can be attributed. That typically involves the retailer setting a cookie in your browser.

We record that a link was clicked in our own analytics — which product, from which page — so we can tell which recommendations people find useful. We do not receive any information about what you subsequently buy, beyond aggregate commission reporting that does not identify individual customers.

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. In practice the only personal data we hold is contact-form correspondence, which we keep for as long as it is useful for answering you and then delete.

Email contact@lidandliner.com and we will action it. We do not require you to prove a legal basis for asking.

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes — a new third-party service, a new category of data — will be described here rather than made quietly.
