Lid & Liner is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

In plain terms: links on this site to products at retailers carry a tracking tag. If you follow one and buy something, we may receive a commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same as it would be if you had gone to the retailer directly.

Every buy link on the site is marked. You will see a short disclosure line above the first buy button on every page that has one, and an #ad marker under each button. Links are tagged rel="sponsored nofollow", which is the technical marker search engines use.

This is the part that actually matters, so it gets stated directly: what we earn on a product has no bearing on whether it is recommended, or on where it ranks.

Rankings are set by the criteria on our methodology page — bag fit, odor containment, mechanism durability, cleanability, capacity honesty, materials, warranty, and cost per year including consumables. Commission rate is not among them and never has been.

Where a retailer with a lower commission is the better outcome for you — a better price, better stock, a better warranty — that is the link we build. Buyer first, commission second, always.

We will also tell you when the right answer is to buy nothing. Several pages on this site recommend a free fix before any product is mentioned, and at least one recommends keeping food scraps in your freezer instead of buying the thing the page is about. That is deliberate.

We do not print prices, star ratings or review counts anywhere on this site. Retail prices on these products change weekly, and a stale number is worse than no number. So every buy button sends you to the current price at the retailer rather than a figure we guessed at.

The same logic applies to ratings: they are not comparable across retailers and quoting one would imply we had verified it. Where a figure on this site comes from a manufacturer, it is attributed to them as their figure.
